Beautiful Nature

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image,
   in the image of God he created them;
   male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food

- Genesis 1:26-29

For a while, I have found myself interested in the growth and propagation of different plants. I started with one of my cactuses and moved to other succulents, then to seeds and I'll be experimenting more methods with different plants in the future. Plant propagation has really become a joy and passion of mine, and I want to share these plants with others in my community.

I chose the name Rada, because it holds biblical truths in a agricultural context. Rada in Hebrew means to rule or to have dominion. It was spoken by God to Adam and Eve when he gave them the garden, and it is a mandate that I believe should still be carried out today. To rule and have dominion under God implies the obligation to care for and cultivate whatever is being ruled over. The term Rada is my vision for this business that I am starting - to use my passion for plant propagation in a sustainable manner where plants are multiplied and sold to others either for decorative or consumable purposes.

How do we fulfill our obligation to rule and have dominion over this world? It's a question that everyone seems to be trying to answer these days from environmentalists to politicians. It's a question that requires wisdom, discretion, and understanding to answer. In the vein of expanding our understanding, we are also working on opening up a bookshop section to our shop. We want to provide our customers' with resources of knowledge and wisdom that teach them truths they may not have known before and challenge beliefs they may hold strongly to. Join us on our mission to bring life and knowledge into the hands and homes of fellow sojourners like ourselves.
